Please update Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce Premium 2.5.1 to 4.5. @Steve
Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce Premium has been updated to 2.7.1
Hi, there’s an 3.5 version. Please check Changelog – Advanced Coupons
We would LOVE to update to its latest version, but we encountered an issue with the activation with its latest version. We’re unable to bypass the security in its latest version, as it’s making a lot of server API calls. We will update the file as soon as possible once we got a solution for this.
Meanwhile, please have a look at this thread which explains the entire process.
Hi @Steve
When we see that there is a limitation on updating due to not being able to activate it, should we treat that as something you all are actively trying to fix? Or should we note when there is a new version to see if that one is possible to fix.
I suppose I’m also trying to understand if plugins that block activation are expected to not be updated on a go-forward basis, so that I know whether or not we should step into any specific plugin as a solution. In this case, I’m assuing the latest version that was able to be activated is 2.7.1, and that any versions in between have a blocker?
Possibly should have tagged this for @Martin instead of Updates.
Thanks a lot for your comment here.
It depends on the theme or plugin. Developers are using more advanced security measures in order to require a license key to use their plugin or theme.
We got a team of 4 dedicated developers trying to help activating a plugin without the need of a license key. Sometimes we succeed, but more oftenly we are having a hard time in order to do so.
I hope this helps to answer your questions.
