Great looking plugin, but it doesn’t install and activate.
Then the Support link from this page isn’t connected to a post in the forum for discussing:
Happy to provide feedback from testing, if anyone could look at this please?
Thanks for reporting this @marcusquinn I created a support topic for this particular plugin!
Could you please upload a screenshot of the activation error?
Thanks! It looks like it’s not the correct contents that’s been zipped-up, and it’s actually a theme called
course-builder
somehow:AIT Citadela Listing Directory has been updated to 5.15.0.
Fixed and corrected.
Thanks, that’s the correct plugin now.
Wow, though! It has an incredibly aggressive nag that shows in the Admin AND Frontend!
These developers don’t realise that due to the terrible quality of most Wordpress themes and plugins, that it is essential to be able to try before buying support.
I always disliked AIT themes and plugins due to:
Aha. Yeah, you can smell the developer attitude from these nags
Just testing the plugin, and they have a lot of the right ideas on this one. It’s amazing how bad all the Directory plugsin are!
But then it doesn’t respect another theme’s page template layout settings (Kadence in this case, perhaps the best out there for standards-respecting).
Takes me minutes to find these things out with Festinger to test with, with direct purchase and hope for a refund within any trial period and nowhere to leave reviews, I’d never get through all the testing so fast and confidently. Their loss!
Have a look at jReviews in case you’re looking for the best directory plugin available for WP:
Thanks, will do. Really appreciate shared experience, so do my best to share my testing experience back, too.
Can confirm that from my testing of Citadel, it’s promising and modern standards respecting interfaces, but not with other themes. I expect they only test with their own theme, which is OKish if you only want it to do listings. Hope this helps others considering.
