Our Story

Rolling code. Breaking walls.

From one guy in a wheelchair tired of overpriced plugins to a global community of rebels. We didn't set out to disrupt anything; we just couldn't sit back and watch developers get screwed.

Our vision

"GPL plugins belong to everyone. Not just those who can afford the $299 tax on freedom."

The WordPress ecosystem promised open source freedom, then built paywalls around it. We're creating the first truly community-driven platform that puts GPL back in the hands of the people who need it most.

By combining automatic malware scanning with real user uploads, we've built a vault that's both safe and accessible — proving that you don't need to choose between legal and affordable when it comes to GPL software.

How we rolled here

2019

The frustration builds

One guy in a wheelchair gets tired of spending $299 on GPL plugins that should be free. Starts manually stripping assets from bloated vendors.

2020-2022

The underground grows

Word spreads. Community forms. Real users start uploading clean plugins. The malware scanner goes live. No more Russian roulette with downloads.

2023-2025

The rebellion scales

Thousands of developers worldwide join the cause. GPL actually means GPL again. Festinger Vault becomes the de facto sanctuary for open-source freedom.

"We believe freedom should be free, and community should drive community."
